How to enter APN settings
Open Access Point Names
Go to
Settings → Network & Internet → Mobile network → Access Point Names. On some phones it's underSettings → Connections → Mobile networks.Add a new APN
Tap + (or the menu → New APN) and set APN to
live.vodafone.com. Fill any other non-blank values from the table above and leave the rest as default.Save and select it
Save from the menu, then select the new Vodafone Ireland APN and toggle Airplane Mode on for ten seconds so the change takes effect.
Open the APN screen
Tap
Settings → Mobile Service → Mobile Data Network. On some iPhones the menu is called Mobile Data. If you don't see this option, Vodafone Ireland locks APN editing, so contact them or install a carrier profile.Enter the APN
Under Mobile Data, set APN to
live.vodafone.com. Leave Username and Password blank unless the table above lists them.Save and restart data
Go back to apply the change, then toggle Airplane Mode on for ten seconds so the iPhone re-registers with Vodafone Ireland.
Common issues
Data works but picture messages fail. Vodafone Ireland keeps MMS on its own APN. If you only created live.vodafone.com, add a second APN, mms.vodafone.net, with the MMSC, the proxy 10.24.59.200 and port 80, and set its type to mms. The data APN has no proxy at all.
Data stopped after picking isp.vodafone.ie. That's an older Vodafone Ireland profile still listed on many phones. Select or create live.vodafone.com instead.
No data on a phone bought abroad. Imported phones don't always carry Vodafone Ireland's profile. Enter live.vodafone.com with MCC 272 and MNC 01, then restart.

Use live.vodafone.com. It's the APN Vodafone Ireland uses today, with no username or password. isp.vodafone.ie is an older Vodafone Ireland profile that still ships in many phones' built-in APN lists, sometimes with the username and password vodafone.
What are Vodafone Ireland's MMS settings?
MMS has its own APN, mms.vodafone.net. Set the MMSC to http://www.vodafone.ie/mms and the MMS proxy to 10.24.59.200 on port 80. On Android, add it as a second APN with the type mms, so it doesn't replace the data APN.
Does Vodafone Ireland support eSIM?
Yes. Vodafone supports eSIM on iPhone. An eSIM line picks up its settings during activation, so you rarely need to type an APN on one.
Why won't my iPhone let me edit the APN?
Some carriers manage the iPhone APN through a hidden carrier profile, so the fields are locked or missing. That's normal. Resetting network settings re-pulls the profile and fixes most iPhone data problems without typing anything.
