How to enter APN settings
Tip
After saving, toggle Airplane Mode on and off for 10 seconds. This forces the phone to re-register with the network and pick up the new APN.
Troubleshooting
Common issues
Data works but MMS won't send. Check the MMSC and MMS proxy values exactly, and make sure mobile data is on. Vodafone routes picture messages through a proxy on port 8799, so a missing or wrong proxy port is a common cause of MMS failing while browsing still works.
No data on an unlocked or imported phone. Enter the APN by hand and restart. Unlocked phones often skip Vodafone's automatic setup, so the APN field starts empty.
Pay as you go line. If you're on PAYG, use the APN pp.vodafone.co.uk instead of wap.vodafone.co.uk, keeping the same MMS values, then restart.
