More about Lidl Connect Ireland
Lidl Connect went on sale in Ireland on Monday 5 October 2026, sold only through the Lidl Plus app.
Lidl doesn't run the service itself. Your contract is with 1GLOBAL, the company formerly called Truphone, and the radio network is eir's. That split explains the two things that catch new customers out. The APN carries the old company name, truphone.com. And some phones show an R for roaming at home. That's because the SIM can carry 1GLOBAL's network code rather than eir's.
The German Lidl Connect is a different service on Vodafone Germany, with the APN web.vodafone.de. Settings from German guides won't work on an Irish SIM.
Lidl Connect supports eSIM, 5G, VoLTE and Wi-Fi Calling on compatible phones, with iOS 16 on iPhone and Android 9 on Samsung as the minimum. A physical SIM is sold in Lidl stores.
