How to enter APN settings
Open Access Point Names
Go to
Settings → Network & Internet → Mobile network → Access Point Names. On some phones it's underSettings → Connections → Mobile networks.Add a new APN
Tap + (or the menu → New APN) and set APN to
tescomobile.liffeytelecom.com. Fill any other non-blank values from the table above and leave the rest as default.Save and select it
Save from the menu, then select the new Tesco Mobile Ireland APN and toggle Airplane Mode on for ten seconds so the change takes effect.
Open the APN screen
Tap
Settings → Mobile Service → Mobile Data Network. On some iPhones the menu is called Mobile Data. If you don't see this option, Tesco Mobile Ireland locks APN editing, so contact them or install a carrier profile.Enter the APN
Under Mobile Data, set APN to
tescomobile.liffeytelecom.com. Leave Username and Password blank unless the table above lists them.Save and restart data
Go back to apply the change, then toggle Airplane Mode on for ten seconds so the iPhone re-registers with Tesco Mobile Ireland.
Common issues
Data stopped after a reset. Text data to 174705 and install the message that comes back. It's quicker than typing.
Data works but MMS doesn't. Tesco's guide sets the type to default, which covers data only. For picture messages on Android, set the type to default,supl,mms and add the MMSC, proxy 10.1.11.19 and port 8080.

Yes. Text data to 174705, which is free. Open the configuration message, tap Install or OK, then restart the phone.
What are Tesco Mobile Ireland's MMS settings?
Tesco's help page doesn't list them. Tesco Mobile uses the MMSC http://mmc1/servlets/mms and the MMS proxy 10.1.11.19 on port 8080, on the same APN. These match 48, which uses the same Liffey Telecom servers. If MMS still fails, call Tesco Mobile on 089 494 1000.
Are Tesco Mobile UK settings the same?
No. Tesco Mobile UK runs on a different network with different values. On an Irish SIM, use tescomobile.liffeytelecom.com.
Does Tesco Mobile Ireland support eSIM?
No. Tesco Mobile is sold as a physical SIM only.
Why won't my iPhone let me edit the APN?
Some carriers manage the iPhone APN through a hidden carrier profile, so the fields are locked or missing. That's normal. Resetting network settings re-pulls the profile and fixes most iPhone data problems without typing anything.
