How to enter APN settings
Open Access Point Names
Go to
Settings → Network & Internet → Mobile network → Access Point Names. On some phones it's underSettings → Connections → Mobile networks.Add a new APN
Tap + (or the menu → New APN) and set APN to
data.myeirmobile.ie. Fill any other non-blank values from the table above and leave the rest as default.Save and select it
Save from the menu, then select the new GoMo APN and toggle Airplane Mode on for ten seconds so the change takes effect.
Open the APN screen
Tap
Settings → Mobile Service → Mobile Data Network. On some iPhones the menu is called Mobile Data. If you don't see this option, GoMo locks APN editing, so contact them or install a carrier profile.Enter the APN
Under Mobile Data, set APN to
data.myeirmobile.ie. Leave Username and Password blank unless the table above lists them.Save and restart data
Go back to apply the change, then toggle Airplane Mode on for ten seconds so the iPhone re-registers with GoMo.
Common issues
The phone picked data.mymeteor.ie. That's an old Meteor profile many phones still carry. It may not connect on GoMo. Add data.myeirmobile.ie and select it.
A 4G router loses data after a restart. The SIM PIN is usually the cause. Put the SIM in a phone, switch the PIN off, then move it back.
A 3G-only device stopped working. eir is switching off its 3G data service from 1 October 2026. Older routers and phones need a 4G replacement.
Frequently asked questions
Is the GoMo APN the same as eir's?
Yes. GoMo is eir's own brand on eir's network, and it uses eir's data APN, data.myeirmobile.ie. The eir values work on GoMo, in phones and in 4G routers.
What are GoMo's MMS settings?
The same as eir's. GoMo's picture messages use the MMS APN mms.myeirmobile.ie, an MMSC of http://mms.mymeteor.ie and an MMS proxy of 10.85.85.85 on port 8799.
Can I use a GoMo SIM in a 4G router?
Yes. Enter data.myeirmobile.ie as the APN. Switch off the SIM PIN in a phone first, because many routers can't enter it after a reboot.
Does GoMo support eSIM?
Yes. GoMo sells eSIMs, and an eSIM line picks up its settings during activation. If data doesn't start, GoMo's help suggests checking the eSIM is the line chosen for mobile data.
Why won't my iPhone let me edit the APN?
Some carriers manage the iPhone APN through a hidden carrier profile, so the fields are locked or missing. That's normal. Resetting network settings re-pulls the profile and fixes most iPhone data problems without typing anything.
