Background
More about SaskTel
SaskTel dates from June 12, 1908, when Saskatchewan set up its Department of Railways, Telegraphs and Telephones. It's a Crown corporation owned by the Government of Saskatchewan, with its head office on Saskatchewan Drive in Regina.
In 2009 SaskTel agreed to share networks with Bell and Telus. Its HSPA+ network opened to the public on August 16, 2010, and LTE followed in Regina and Saskatoon in January 2013. By June 2024 at least half of its network had 5G. It plans to shut down 3G by October 2027. Lüm Mobile, announced in December 2021, is its self-service prepaid brand, using the same APN.
