More about Eastlink
Eastlink, based in Halifax, bought 19 wireless licences in the 2008 spectrum auction for $25 million, covering Ontario, Atlantic Canada and Grande Prairie, Alberta. Its wireless service launched in February 2013 in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, on HSPA+ and LTE.
LTE reached Timmins and Sudbury in June 2016, and Eastlink launched 5G with Ericsson in March 2022 in parts of Halifax and Saint John. Eastlink phones use two APNs, wisp.mobi.eastlink.ca for data and mms.mobi.eastlink.ca for picture messages.
