Setup guide
How to enter APN settings
1
Open Access Point Names
Go to
Settings → Network & Internet → Mobile network → Access Point Names. On some phones it's under Settings → Connections → Mobile networks.2
Add a new APN
Tap + (or the menu → New APN) and set APN to
ltemobile.apn. Fill any other non-blank values from the table above and leave the rest as default.3
Save and select it
Save from the menu, then select the new Fido APN and toggle Airplane Mode on for ten seconds so the change takes effect.
Tip
After saving, toggle Airplane Mode on and off for 10 seconds. This forces the phone to re-register with the network and pick up the new APN.
Troubleshooting
Common issues
Data works but MMS doesn't. Fido uses its own MMSC (http://mms.fido.ca) and proxy, distinct from Rogers. Enter the Fido values, not Rogers'.
Old internet.fido.ca APN not working. That's the deprecated 3G APN. Use ltemobile.apn for all modern devices.
No data on a new phone. Add ltemobile.apn manually and restart.
