More about Vodafone
Vodafone won Australia's third mobile licence in December 1992 and launched its GSM network in October 1993. It merged with Hutchison's Three on June 10, 2009, as Vodafone Hutchison Australia, and closed Three's network on August 30, 2013. After the merger with TPG completed in July 2020, Vodafone Australia became part of TPG Telecom. Its head office is in Sydney, and it had about 5.8 million subscribers in 2020.
Vodafone began its 4G rollout on 1800 MHz on June 12, 2013, and launched 5G from mid-2020. It uses live.vodafone.com for data and a separate profile, Vodafone AU-MMS, on the APN hos, for picture messages.
Felix is a TPG Telecom brand on Vodafone's network. Kogan Mobile, Lebara and, since June 2026, Moose Mobile also run on it.
