Tip
After saving, toggle Airplane Mode on and off for 10 seconds. This forces the phone to re-register with the network and pick up the new APN.
Troubleshooting
Common issues
Not sure which APN to use. Identify your host network first. Straight Talk SIMs run on AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon, and each needs different values. Your SIM packaging or account usually states the network.
Settings from a different SIM don't work. If you switched between an AT&T and a Verizon Straight Talk SIM, the old APN won't carry over. Use the values for the new SIM's network.
MMS failing. Match the MMSC to your host network. An AT&T-based SIM uses AT&T's MMSC; a Verizon-based SIM uses Verizon's.
