More about Boost Mobile
Boost Mobile was founded in Australia and New Zealand in 2000, and its US brand launched in 2001 as a joint venture with Nextel. It became part of Sprint when Sprint and Nextel merged in 2005. Dish Network bought Boost on July 1, 2020, as a condition of the Sprint and T-Mobile merger, and EchoStar took over Dish, wireless business included, on December 31, 2023.
Under Dish and EchoStar, Boost built its own 5G network. On August 26, 2025, EchoStar agreed to sell spectrum to AT&T and make AT&T Boost's main network, and it shut Boost's network down on November 15, 2025. Boost now runs on AT&T. Its head office is in Englewood, Colorado, and it had about 7.51 million subscribers at the end of 2025, counting Gen Mobile.
So settings from the Sprint years or from Boost's own network no longer apply. Boost doesn't publish manual APN values. It sets up Android phones with its Boost Config app and iPhones with a carrier settings update.
