How to enter APN settings
Tip
After saving, toggle Airplane Mode on and off for 10 seconds. This forces the phone to re-register with the network and pick up the new APN.
Troubleshooting
Common issues
Data works but MMS won't send. Check the MMSC and the hostname proxy mms.idmobile.co.uk exactly, and make sure mobile data is on. iD uses a hostname proxy rather than an IP, so a typo there is a common cause of MMS failing while browsing still works.
No data on an unlocked or imported phone. Enter the APN id by hand and restart. Unlocked phones often skip the automatic setup, so the field starts empty.
Settings reset after an update. A software update occasionally clears the APN. Re-enter id and the MMS values.
