How to enter APN settings
Tip
After saving, toggle Airplane Mode on and off for 10 seconds. This forces the phone to re-register with the network and pick up the new APN.
Troubleshooting
Common issues
Data works but MMS won't send. Check the MMSC and MMS proxy values exactly, and make sure mobile data is on. A common Giffgaff mistake is confusing the blank data proxy with the MMS proxy (82.132.254.1) — only the MMS proxy takes a value.
No data on an unlocked or imported phone. Enter the APN giffgaff.com by hand with username giffgaff and restart. Unlocked phones often skip the automatic setup.
Settings reset after an update. A software update occasionally clears the APN. Re-enter giffgaff.com and the MMS values.
