How to enter APN settings
Open Access Point Names
Go to
Settings → Network & Internet → Mobile network → Access Point Names. On some phones it's underSettings → Connections → Mobile networks.Add a new APN
Tap + (or the menu → New APN) and set APN to
wap.vodafone.co.uk. Fill any other non-blank values from the table above and leave the rest as default.Save and select it
Save from the menu, then select the new Asda Mobile APN and toggle Airplane Mode on for ten seconds so the change takes effect.
Open the APN screen
Tap
Settings → Mobile Service → Mobile Data Network. On some iPhones the menu is called Mobile Data. If you don't see this option, Asda Mobile locks APN editing, so contact them or install a carrier profile.Enter the APN
Under Mobile Data, set APN to
wap.vodafone.co.uk. Leave Username and Password blank unless the table above lists them.Save and restart data
Go back to apply the change, then toggle Airplane Mode on for ten seconds so the iPhone re-registers with Asda Mobile.
Common issues
Data works but MMS won't send. Check the MMSC and MMS proxy values exactly, including port 8799, and make sure mobile data is on. Asda Mobile runs on Vodafone's network, so a wrong proxy port is a common cause of MMS failing while browsing still works.
No data on an unlocked or imported phone. Enter the APN wap.vodafone.co.uk by hand with username and password wap, then restart. If that fails, ask Asda Mobile for the settings for your SIM.
Settings reset after an update. A software update occasionally clears the APN. Re-enter wap.vodafone.co.uk and the MMS values.
