Background
More about Rakuten Mobile
Rakuten Mobile is Japan's fourth network and built its own in recent years. Where its own coverage is thin it has roamed on au's network. That agreement ran to 30 September 2026, and Rakuten says roaming continues after that in areas it does not yet cover, and shrinks where its own network is strong. Check the coverage map for your area.
The APN is rakuten.jp and is normally set automatically.
