How to enter APN settings
Tip
After saving, toggle Airplane Mode on and off for 10 seconds. This forces the phone to re-register with the network and pick up the new APN.
Troubleshooting
Common issues
No data on an unlocked or imported phone. Enter the APN by hand and restart. Set the APN to iijmio.jp with username mio@iij, password iij and PAP or CHAP authentication. MVNO profiles rarely ship pre-installed.
Connects but keeps dropping. If one authentication mode is unstable, switch between PAP and CHAP — IIJmio accepts either.
Wrong SIM type. Type-D rides Docomo and Type-A rides au. The APN is the same but the SIM must match a compatible phone; confirm which type you have if data won't come up at all.
