au is the mobile brand of KDDI and one of Japan's three large networks. Its 3G service has already closed. UQ mobile and povo use this network, and Rakuten Mobile has roamed on it in areas its own network does not yet cover.
au publishes phone-by-phone setup guides. They use the LTE NET profile with the APN uno.au-net.ne.jp. Phones bought from au are configured automatically.
