How to enter APN settings
Tip
After saving, toggle Airplane Mode on and off for 10 seconds. This forces the phone to re-register with the network and pick up the new APN.
Troubleshooting
Common issues
Data works but MMS won't send. O2 carries MMS over the same telefonica.es APN, but it needs the MMSC and proxy filled in. If picture messages fail while browsing works, add MMSC http://mms.movistar.com and proxy 10.138.255.5:8080 and make sure mobile data is on.
Movistar's APN doesn't work on an O2 SIM. O2 cannot use the 'movistar.es' access point. Each brand authenticates through its own APN even though they share the network, so stick to telefonica.es.
No data on an unlocked or imported phone. Enter the APN by hand and restart. Unlocked phones often skip O2's automatic setup, so the APN field starts empty.
