Setup guide

How to enter APN settings

1
Open Access Point Names
Go to Settings → Network & Internet → Mobile network → Access Point Names. On some phones it's under Settings → Connections → Mobile networks.
2
Add a new APN
Tap + (or the menu → New APN) and set APN to web.unefon.com.mx. Fill any other non-blank values from the table above and leave the rest as default.
3
Save and select it
Save from the menu, then select the new Unefon APN and toggle Airplane Mode on for ten seconds so the change takes effect.
Tip
After saving, toggle Airplane Mode on and off for 10 seconds. This forces the phone to re-register with the network and pick up the new APN.
Troubleshooting

Common issues

Signal but no data. The most common Unefon issue. Make sure the APN is exactly web.unefon.com.mx with no stray spaces and that it's selected as the active profile. Phones rarely auto-configure Unefon, so the field usually starts empty.

Old standalone Unefon profile causing conflicts. Unefon predates AT&T, so a phone may carry a leftover legacy APN. Delete any stale entry and use web.unefon.com.mx (or AT&T's modem.nexteldata.com.mx as a fallback).

Data works but MMS won't send. Unefon borrows AT&T's MMS path. Set the MMSC to http://mms.att.com.mx exactly, leave the proxy blank unless your plan needs it, and make sure mobile data is on.
