How to enter APN settings
Tip
After saving, toggle Airplane Mode on and off for 10 seconds. This forces the phone to re-register with the network and pick up the new APN.
Troubleshooting
Common issues
No data on an unlocked or imported phone. Enter the APN by hand and restart. Imported phones often skip SoftBank's automatic setup, so the APN field starts empty. Set the APN to plus.4g with username plus, password 4g, and CHAP authentication.
Connects but no data. Double-check the authentication type is CHAP and the username/password are exactly plus and 4g. The wrong auth type is the usual cause of a connection that won't pass data.
Settings reset after an update. A software update occasionally clears the APN. Re-enter plus.4g with its username and password.
