How to enter APN settings
Tip
After saving, toggle Airplane Mode on and off for 10 seconds. This forces the phone to re-register with the network and pick up the new APN.
Troubleshooting
Common issues
Activation completes but no data. Some phones reject the blank-credential povo.jp profile. Add username user@povo.jp, password povo, and set authentication to CHAP, then restart.
No data on an unlocked or imported phone. Enter the APN by hand and restart. Imported phones usually skip au's automatic setup, so the APN field starts empty.
Settings reset after an update. A software update occasionally clears the APN. Re-enter povo.jp.
