Setup guide
How to enter APN settings
1
Open Access Point Names
Go to
Settings → Network & Internet → Mobile network → Access Point Names. On some phones it's under Settings → Connections → Mobile networks.2
Add a new APN
Tap + (or the menu → New APN) and set APN to
mineo-d.jp. Fill any other non-blank values from the table above and leave the rest as default.3
Save and select it
Save from the menu, then select the new mineo APN and toggle Airplane Mode on for ten seconds so the change takes effect.
Tip
After saving, toggle Airplane Mode on and off for 10 seconds. This forces the phone to re-register with the network and pick up the new APN.
Troubleshooting
Common issues
Wrong APN for your plan. mineo's APN differs by network: mineo-d.jp (Docomo D plan), mineo.jp (au A plan), mineos.jp (SoftBank S plan). Using the wrong one is the most common reason data won't connect. The username, password and CHAP setting are shared across all three.
No data on an unlocked or imported phone. Enter the APN by hand and restart. Set username mineo@k-opti.com, password mineo and CHAP authentication. MVNO profiles rarely ship pre-installed.
Saved the APN but still no data. After saving, you must select the mineo profile from the APN list. If it isn't selected, the connection won't come up.
