Background
More about 1&1
1&1 built Germany's fourth mobile network. Its Open RAN 5G network went live in December 2022 for home internet, and mobile phone plans started on 8 December 2023, first with national roaming on O2's network. On 29 August 2024 it began exclusive national roaming on Vodafone's network, and it moved its customers across the tariffs onto its own network during 2025.
1&1 uses the APN internet. MMS ended on 30 June 2026 for all 1&1 brands.
