More about amaysim
amaysim was founded in November 2010 by Peter O'Connell, Rolf Hansen, Christian Magel, Thomas Enge and Andreas Perreiter, as an MVNO on Optus. It floated on the ASX in July 2015. Optus agreed on November 2, 2020, to buy the whole company for A$250 million, and amaysim left the ASX on April 6, 2021.
amaysim had more than 1.5 million mobile subscribers in June 2024, and its head office is in Sydney. It runs on Optus and uses Optus's APNs: yesinternet for data and mms for picture messages.
