How to enter APN settings
Open Access Point Names
Go to
Settings → Network & Internet → Mobile network → Access Point Names. On some phones it's underSettings → Connections → Mobile networks.Add a new APN
Tap + (or the menu → New APN) and set APN to
orange. Fill any other non-blank values from the table above and leave the rest as default.Save and select it
Save from the menu, then select the new Orange APN and toggle Airplane Mode on for ten seconds so the change takes effect.
Open the APN screen
Tap
Settings → Mobile Service → Mobile Data Network. On some iPhones the menu is called Mobile Data. If you don't see this option, Orange locks APN editing, so contact them or install a carrier profile.Enter the APN
Under Mobile Data, set APN to
orange. Leave Username and Password blank unless the table above lists them.Save and restart data
Go back to apply the change, then toggle Airplane Mode on for ten seconds so the iPhone re-registers with Orange.
Common issues
Data works but MMS won't send. Orange uses one profile for data and picture messages, with the APN orange and the MMSC http://mms.orange.fr. Make sure the APN type includes mms and mobile data is on. If MMS still fails on an older phone, add a second APN named orange.acte with the MMSC http://mms.orange.fr, the proxy 192.168.10.200 and port 8080.
No data on an unlocked or imported phone. Enter the APN by hand and restart. Unlocked phones often skip Orange's automatic setup, so the APN field starts empty.
Settings reset after an update. A software update occasionally clears the APN. Re-enter orange and the MMS values.

Do I need to enter Orange APN settings by hand?
Usually not. Orange owns its network, and most phones pull the settings automatically. You enter them manually when data or MMS stops working, often after a SIM swap, a factory reset, or moving the SIM into an unlocked phone.
How do I know it worked?
Turn off Wi-Fi and open any website. If it loads, data is working. For MMS, send a photo to a friend and confirm it goes through. A quick restart helps if either doesn't start right away.
Does Orange support eSIM?
Yes. Orange supports eSIM. Activation usually sets up the data settings automatically, so you rarely touch the APN on an eSIM line.
Why won't my iPhone let me edit the APN?
Many carriers manage the iPhone APN through a hidden configuration profile, so the fields are locked or missing. That's normal. Resetting network settings re-pulls the profile and fixes most iPhone issues without manual entry.
These settings didn't fix it. What now?
Restart the phone first. If data still won't connect, reset network settings and let the carrier re-provision. If only MMS fails, re-check the MMSC and make sure mobile data is on. APN settings can't fix a deactivated line, an unpaid balance, or a locked phone.
