How to enter APN settings
Open Access Point Names
Go to
Settings → Network & Internet → Mobile network → Access Point Names. On some phones it's underSettings → Connections → Mobile networks.Add a new APN
Tap + (or the menu → New APN) and set APN to
fr.lebara.mobi. Fill any other non-blank values from the table above and leave the rest as default.Save and select it
Save from the menu, then select the new Lebara APN and toggle Airplane Mode on for ten seconds so the change takes effect.
Open the APN screen
Tap
Settings → Mobile Service → Mobile Data Network. On some iPhones the menu is called Mobile Data. If you don't see this option, Lebara locks APN editing, so contact them or install a carrier profile.Enter the APN
Under Mobile Data, set APN to
fr.lebara.mobi. Leave Username and Password blank unless the table above lists them.Save and restart data
Go back to apply the change, then toggle Airplane Mode on for ten seconds so the iPhone re-registers with Lebara.
Common issues
Picture messages won't send. Lebara does not support MMS on any plan, so no setting fixes it. Send photos through WhatsApp, Messenger, Telegram or another app over mobile data or Wi-Fi.
No data after inserting the SIM. Add the APN fr.lebara.mobi with the type default, leave the username and password blank, then restart. Lebara texts the settings if you send APN to 22241. On an iPhone with iOS 16 or later, turn on Use Carrier Settings under Cellular Data Network.
Data dropped after the move to SFR. Lebara moved from Orange's network to SFR's. Restart the phone and check that fr.lebara.mobi is still set.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to enter Lebara APN settings by hand?
Often, yes. Lebara is a prepaid MVNO, and its SIMs don't always auto-configure. Enter the APN by hand when data won't work, especially right after inserting a new SIM, a factory reset, or moving the SIM into an unlocked phone. Texting APN to 22241 sends the settings.
How do I know it worked?
Turn off Wi-Fi and open any website. If it loads, data is working. A quick restart helps if it doesn't start right away. Lebara does not support MMS, so there is no picture message to test.
Does Lebara support eSIM?
Yes. Lebara France supports eSIM on compatible plans. Activation usually sets up the data settings automatically, so you rarely touch the APN on an eSIM line.
Why won't my iPhone let me edit the APN?
Many carriers manage the iPhone APN through a hidden configuration profile, so the fields are locked or missing. That's normal. Resetting network settings re-pulls the profile and fixes most iPhone issues without manual entry.
These settings didn't fix it. What now?
Restart the phone first. If data still won't connect, reset network settings and let the carrier re-provision. If only MMS fails, re-check the MMSC and make sure mobile data is on. APN settings can't fix a deactivated line, an unpaid balance, or a locked phone.
